3rd Trimester (27w0d)

I'm not as excited to be in the third trimester as I was to enter the second. Mostly because I realized that I only have three months of baking left (at most!) and a lot to get done before I'll be ready for the bun. The nursery is still the computer room, we need to move it to the guest bedroom soon. We need to figure out where we will be taking the baby for daycare and reserve our spot. The flooring for our basement needs to be installed. I shouldn't make this list any longer...

We finally did register this weekend at Babies R Us. That place is a zoo, even on a Friday afternoon, but I shouldn't have to go back anytime soon! Now we'll just register at Shopko and Target and be done.

Sick Season (25w0d)

Dave and I are both sick today with an icky cold. It's the kind of cold that if I could take my normal medicine I would probably be able to make it through the work day. Instead I spent the day at home napping (hopefully I'll get over it faster this way). I had a doctors appointment this morning and we got a call to reschedule, because even our doctor is sick. I'm looking forward to my gestational diabetes test and lovely orange drink on Wednesday now!

Which reminds me I got my health screening results from work back today. We get $100 for doing an online survey and a quick health screening at work. Well in the questionnaire I answered yes to being pregnant and I obviously look very pregnant and made sure the nurses knew it. But the screening company didn't put my results from the screening and questionnaire together, so they told me that I'm at moderate risk because of my high BMI. Hello people I'm supposed to be gaining weight, there's a little one growing inside of me! Plus everyone at work (myself included) were pretty sure they're scales were off by at least 5 lbs! Oh well I'm not worried and neither is my real doctor. I also have high cholesterol, because my good cholesterol is high (like it's supposed to be) and my bad cholesterol is lower, but when you add the two together it's a little higher than they like. Whatever, I'll re-screen next year when the little one isn't baking in my oven.
Back to more exciting things we put the crib together this weekend (pictured above). We still have a ton of work to make the nursery not a computer room. The picture of my belly is from last Monday (24weeks). It takes me a while to post the picture after it's taken...
