Presidents Day

Monday was Presidents Day and Adam didn't have school, so on Tuesday he came home talking about all the things he learned about our presidents. He announced to his daycare provider, Kathy that a man snuck into the theater and shot Al Franken and Kathy corrected him, "you mean Abraham Lincoln, Adam."

"Yeah, Al Franken was shot in a movie theater."  Hmmm, I'm not so sure Adam.

At the dinner table he continued to call Abraham Lincoln, Al Franken as Dave and I tried to hold back our laughter.

iZ is 8 Months

What, did I read that title on this post correctly? Is my cute little baby boy really 8 months already? He's such a precious little guy still. He smiles when he sees me and bounces in my arms when I pci him up! This month he figured out crawling- although his most constant mode of transportation is the army leg drag. Dave enjoys getting a hand shutting "bye, bye, dada" when he drops iZ off at daycare. I personally love the open mouth raspberry kisses he gives me on the cheek best. I was caught off guard the first time he returned my kisses, but now I look forward to it. Isaac can now push himself back up to sitting and the crib had to be dropped down two levels due to him being able to pull himself up on the railing.

Containing this baby to take his 8 month picture was not an easy task- way too mobile!

Cabin Fever No More

Today was a wonderful winter day. Sunny, warm, with just enough snow for winter activities. So we started our morning off with a little pond hockey and then we went skiing at our local county park followed by Winterfest at the fair grounds and we had one final round of pond hockey post nap at sunset just Eli, Adam and I.  But now I am sore.

We used boots to mark off the goal! And Isaac, he fell asleep after I pushed him around the pond a few times, he's such a good baby.

At Winterfest we saw the dog sleds, but chose not to wait in the long line for a ride, so instead Adam enjoyed climbing on a giant snow mountain and Eli got to shoot a bb gun. He announced that he shot a missile to his brother when showing off his target! Ha!

I missed the whole second period of the Tech hockey game to go iceskating with my boys, but it was totally worth it. And the pond being plowed by a neighbor- totally awesome. I figured it was one of my old coworkers, so when I saw his wife at Winterfest I thanked her several times!
