Oh Hi Mr. Sun

The days are getting longer. This means walks after work in the daylight are an actual possibility again. Monday after work Eli, Adam, Brockway and I went for a walk. It literally took us 20 minutes to walk to the end of our street and back, but we had fun and that's all that matters.

The boys poked at the snow with sticks. Adam made snow angels that are really impressive and Brockway got to sniff like crazy. No one wanted to ride in the sled I dragged behind the whole walk.

And Then I Forgot My Camera

Last weekend we had plans to spend time with our in-laws in Wisconsin.  Originally we were going to meet in Wausau which is pretty much half way for us all to meet. Then Ann was spending her quality time in the hospital as a patient instead of a nurse and our trip was almost called off.  But Friday she got out of the hospital and wanted to get away to the Dells. So Dave booked a hotel and away we went.

Saturday morning we got up early and took the boys to the kiddie pool.  The pool was pretty much empty, except for us and we spent all morning swimming. I went to get my fancy camera, but it wasn't in our room or van.  I settled for my phone camera and instagram instead.

The second pool in our hotel.  It was too bad the spray pool was super cold- the kiddie pool was perfect for the kiddos.

It was an exhausting but fun weekend.  We will have to the Dell's again!

Happy Valentine's Day

Tonight the boys and I picked out red shirts for them to wear tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers that they both go to school and get to actually wear those shirts tomorrow.  It's been one of those kinds of weeks. I got a call about Eli on Friday that he had a low grade fever. After debating back and forth I decided to take him to urgent care when I picked him up early from daycare. I had to take Adam with me because Dave was on afternoons. 2 and a half hours later we had two prescriptions to pick up from the pharmacy along with matching bandages on each leg from a double shot of antibiotics for pneumonia.

Surprisingly Eli acted like the healthy kid all weekend, but Adam was cranky and on edge.  Saturday night he woke up and then Sunday he finally puked. Monday his appetite came back with a little grandma-grandpa TLC and I thought we were out of the woods. Then yesterday it was my turn to get sick and go to the doctor and get antibiotics. Right when I got back to work Dave got a call that Adam puked when he woke up from his nap. So we juggled Adam back and forth this morning at urgent care with yet another prescription for antibiotics. Ear infection this time. So like I said fingers crossed that we're all healthy and going to work/school tomorrow for Valentine's Day.

A little love from our house to yours:

Eli Robot

I tried to sneak away to do laundry and then I heard little feet coming down the stairs.  After I emptied the laundry basket into the washer Eli's imagination took form. He put it over his head upside down and told me he was a robot, "Mommy, Eli Robot. Eli Robot!"

Poop in the Potty

Eli put a poop in the potty tonight!  Seriously, wow! He did a #2 in his diaper and when I was changing him I asked if he needed to go potty and little did I know he would put a poop in the potty.
