9 Months

He is almost impossible to photograph the monthly picture now. He can pull himself up on the arms of the chairs, turn, chew on the bear and pull the 9 off and eat that too and basically do anything but sit still in the chair and smile for me. So this is as good as it gets (picture taken yesterday- a couple days late):

I even tried again tonight and the pictures turned out even worse, because Brockway was added into the mix trying to jump up on the chair and grab the bear. It would have been really funny if it wasn't for the fact that she was rocking the rocker and I didn't want Adam to fall to the floor.

Weekend in Kenosha

We flew to Milwaukee last weekend to visit Aunt Ann and Uncle Titus. I was so worried that Adam would have a horrible time on the plane because of his ears, well that and I was having nightmares about trying to handle two carry-ons a car seat and an infant between four hands. Thankfully it went really well.

We had a great weekend in Kenosha. Adam got to talk to his cousin through Aunt Annie's belly.

We all went on a Jelly Belly tour. I thought it was going to be a factory tour, but it turns out that it was just a warehouse tour- not as much fun. But we did get lots and lots of Jelly Beans.
Learn about basketball from coach/uncle Titus. They focused on dribbling or patting the ball. Adam practices dribbling at daycare all the time now!

And we went to the Kenosha Public Museum. That was lots of fun. They had a huge woolly mammoth and many stuffed exotic animals. There was tons to look at and the museum was completely free!

He's Crawling

Adam started crawling tonight. The laptop was again the bait to get him to move! Unfortunately dad was working late tonight, so he missed it.

Little Shrimp

I may have been a little premature in my "he's almost crawling" post, because it's been several days and he's still not crawling. He did pull himself up to sitting from lying on his back this morning though!

Thursday was Adam's professional 9 month pictures with Renee. I'll post them as soon as I get the CD in the mail. And then yesterday was Adam's 9 month check up. He's right ear still has fluid, but it didn't look like an infection. So now we are doing the watch and wait game instead of a fourth round of antibiotics. He weighed 18 lb 11 oz (22nd percentile), his length was 27.25 inches (18th percentile) and other kids are finally catching up to Adams huge head, because he dropped three percentiles to 96 with a head of 18.75 inches. So Adam is a little shrimp, but we love him.

Almost Crawling

Adam is so close to crawling. As of today he's figured out how to move his arms while in the crawling position, but not the legs. It's so much fun to watch him try to figure it out. I was hoping tonight would be the night he would crawl, but I guess it's okay if tomorrow he crawls to me when I go to pick him up from school!

And a family shot from our 90 minute walk yesterday.

Weekend with Mommy

Dad was out of town this weekend, so Adam and I were home alone. We went to Great Grandpa's 85th birthday party on Saturday, and while we were in the cities we bought Adam's big boy car seat. It's getting so hard to lug him around in his baby car seat. Sunday was beautiful day so we took Brockway for a walk and then we went for our first run with the BOB stroller. I was dreading going to the grocery store with Adam, but he did so well. He loved walking around the store looking at everything. I think he was really happy to see dad was home when he woke up this morning.

Adam has a third tooth starting to poke through. He was in a great mood today and then when I put him down for bed a little monster came out. I think the pain from his tooth got to him. One dose of ibuprofen, baby oral jel and some teething tablets later his crying turned to whimpering and we had a sleeper. (I just hope it's not the ear infection coming back- he finished the third round of antibiotics on Sunday night).

Cabin Fever

We had cabin fever from being cooped up in our house all winter, so to cure it we went to my aunt's cabin outside of Ashland Wisconsin with both grandmas and grandpas. Both Dave and I had Kaizens last week, so we had both worked extremely long hours and were so ready to get out of town.

On Saturday morning Adam decided to try out a new skill. Pulling himself up to standing/kneeling using the coffee table. The coffee table at the cabin was really low and he could grab it and pull himself up from sitting. He loves standing now, except he falls down a lot. It's time to lower the matres in the crib.

He also thoroughly enjoyed going for walks in a baby backpack carrier. I borrowed one from my friend Denise just to make sure Adam liked it and now we need one!My parents, Dave and I got in one last ski of the season while Adam took a two hour nap! We had a great time up at the cabin- thanks aunt Robyn and uncle Charlie for letting us stay at your place!
